Grandparents' Garden grows from childhood memories of living in a rural village in China. Before starting school, the artist spent her days in her grandparents' garden, surrounded by vines, vegetables, fruit plants, and tall green structures that felt larger than her body. The sensation of being held inside nature shaped her sense of comfort and belonging. In recent years, this place has been transformed by rapid urban development. The garden no longer exists, and the land has been absorbed into new construction. This shift reflects the relationship between human progress and the natural environments that quietly support us.
